Looks great! Wishing for a step by step description of how this occured. There is more to it than throwing up a fence, dumping in cattle and coming back to lush pasture. An interesting healing process of the land, that the uninformed part of our nation who say we should get rid of livestock because “they are hard on the enviroment” should see!
Education can be a powerful tool.
On a side note, i often hear the anti livestock people yelling that “those cows are belching so much methane in to our air, thats so bad for the enviroment” ….well, what about the 50 to 60 million head of bison that roamed the plains back in the day when ” when things were natural and in balance”? They belched methane…. and today there is what 30 million in our current cow herd? ….
Keeping on educating about the value of properly managed livestock to our nations enviroment.

Been inspired by your story, I really do do see you as a mentor. Cause you have really been an inspiration and reminded me that all things are possible we just have to believe. Much love from Nigeria

Really enjoyed the cover crop discussion. I found that Green Cover smartmix calculator through Gabe Brown. Really fun. Closest thing to a video game for me.

I’m a writer, not a farmer, but I’m happy to have stumbled on your site. The closest I’ve come to farming was gardening. I was impressed by life rising out of the death of a seed; it’s an amazing thing. There in the ground, I’d plant a seed, but how did the root know it should grow down and the stalk, up? There’s something significant happening here in the before and after photos of this page: disaster at first, but then a fantastic change. Life is like that; some people would have given up rather than solve the problem. It’s good to know that at the end of hopelessness, those who persevere are rewarded in many ways. Keep looking up; after the darkness, the sun also rises.
