To qualify for the Flock Giveaway (1 ram and 2 ewes) you must fall under one of these categories:
You have completed the course Raising Sheep 101 with a score of 85 or higher on all 5 quizzes. In addition to this, you need to provide proof that you have land suitable to raise 3 sheep and the lambs they produce (2+ acres recommended).
or
Successful sheep owner for 12 months or more. You must have experience with at least one lambing on farm and an annual mortality rate of 15% or less. Winner to be announced on April 24th!
April 26th Livestock Sale Details:
- The sheep sale is ONLINE at Shepherdess.com. It will be first come, first served at the website. Local pickup will be scheduled after purchase.
- Genetic sets will be color coded (orange and yellow). Make sure you have selected a ram that is the opposite color of the ewes to have a set suitable for breeding.

When I received your email I was excited and felt that I needed to apply for the grant right away. But, after alot of thought I’ve realized I do not have enough structure in place to take on anymore animals at the time. I will pray in the near future that I will though. I am 60 years old immigrant from communism who bought last 24 acres of beautiful land. I have too much grass on it.
I started with chicken, rabbits and goats. I have been absorbing everything you teach, preparing my farm for raising dorper sheep in it. After my goats started having kids I saw the beauty in it and now I am ready to do the same with sheep.
I signed up to be on the list to buy sheep from you on April 26, yet, forgive me my ignorance, but I do not know where to click on your website to enter into bitting process.
