Welcome! My name is Grace and I raise a flock of Dorper Sheep on 30 acres in Northeast Texas. I started farming in 2020 with a background in digital marketing.
I was neither an animal person, nor an outdoorsy-person; but I saw a need for local food and believed the Lord wanted me to be a good steward of the land in front of me.
My goal is to help you by sharing what helped me as a beginner sheep farmer!

Healthy Animals
Our Dorper sheep are moved to fresh pasture on a daily basis. Living in the open air and constantly moving to fresh feed means our Dorper sheep are in the best system for optimal health.
Profitable Genetics
Harmony Farms runs both registered and commercial Dorper Sheep. We emphasize productivity in our genetics. Sheep that are thrive on grass with little to no feed inputs is the goal of our breeding program.
Low Feed Input.
Dorper sheep are master feed converters: they thrive on pasture that other breeds would fail on. We run our Dorper sheep with minimal feed inputs. Fresh grass and loose mineral, with hay and alfalfa supplementation only as the season demands.
